The Bible tells us,
God is love.
1 John 4:16
The Bible also tells us what love is:
Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

So, if God is love, and love is those things, then we can say this:

So, ask yourself this question: Is this the God I know?
If this is not the God you know, you can hardly be blamed. There is an Enemy who works with all his power to confuse the minds of men when it comes to the character of God. The Bible and Jesus and the church’s mission is to reveal the truth about God, His character, and His methods. That truth about God is found completely and fully in the person of Jesus.
If your concept of God the Father does not align with God the Son, then you are still a victim of the campaign of lies being spread about God. The cure–the light that dispels the darkness–is to get to know God.
And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth.
John 17:3
Do you want to be healed from the condition that makes you miserable?
Do you want to be saved from the inevitable death caused by that condition?
Do you want to live peacefully and joyfully in paradise forever?
Jesus says the way is to get to know the God of the Bible.
He wants to heal you.
He wants to save your life.
He wants you to live peacefully and joyfully forever in paradise!
God is love.
GOD LOVES YOU.
